Blue-Crowned ConuresSome people believe that the Blue-crowned conure is the most intelligent of all conures. It is not as brightly colored as many others, but it has a quiet beauty that has won it many admirers. They usually reach a size of about 15 inches in length, from the top of the head to the tip of the tail feathers. |
Gold-Capped ConuresThe Gold-cap is described as having a friendly, affectionate personality. Said to make good pets, these 12-inch-long birds are colorful and hardy. Their main color is green, but they have orange feathers on their forehead and face that turns to brighter yellow toward the crown and back of the head. |
Red-Masked ConuresRed-masked conures have green bodies with red faces and crowns, and red feathers under the lower mandible. They measure 13 inches and have horn-colored hooked bills. They make good talkers and can become friendly, tame pets. |
Sun ConuresOften described as puppy-like in their behavior, Sun conures are one of the most popular and beautiful conures available. Their luminous colors consist of vivid red-orange, gold, yellow, and red on the head, face, abdomen, and back.
